Education Centre

From May to the end of October programs for groups can be arranged by appointment. School groups can call and choose a program from a list of general nature-oriented categories. Some of the group's 2 hours at the Eco-Centre will be spent on the dune or its surrounding habitats, the Acadian forest trail or the salt marsh, examining the topic first-hand with the interpreter. The remainder of the program may be conducted in the Education Centre doing individual or team work on the topic under the guidance of the Eco-Centre staff. The Education Centre is set up and equipped to handle group research by some 50 students at one time.

Special programs will be offered to the general public in the fall on weekends and even into the winter as staff are available. For example, a 10 inch (25 cm) lens Dobsonian telescope makes sky exploration and star-gazing an exciting event staff will offer every clear Friday evening in September.
