Trees supply the wood fibre for forest products -- lumber for construction, and wood for paper products. To learn more about all aspects of the harvesting process, visit our Interactive GIS Map Display.

The mills of the Atlantic coastal region (Maine, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick) require a sustainable supply of wood. Woodlands managers are expected to supply the best timber available while caring for the forests. It's their responsibility to ensure there will always be wood fibre available in the future.
