The Millwright Superintendent is in charge of both the stockroom and the millwrights at the mill. Millwrights are tradespeople who have completed their basic millwright license. Many of the millwrights under his direction are working towards their second or third 'division' (level) of their millwright license. Each millwright is involved in more than one task, as the mill makes extensive use of cross-trade abilities. There are millwright-welders, carpenters, machinists, and pipefitters. As a team, they ensure the proper operation and maintenance of equipment in the sawmill. The overall precision and efficiency of the production lines depend on their skills. Millwright responsibilities include preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and new installations. Millwrights are constantly training and upgrading their skills.
