The bundles of lumber are sent to an end press to even the lumber. A strapping machine wraps two metal straps around the bundle to keep the lumber together when it is shipped.

The bundle then moves to the wrapping area where it is wrapped in large sheets of waterproof plastic.

In 1997, the lumber wrap featured a logo symbolizing the 450 million trees J.D. Irving, Limited had planted in the past 40 years
